Four steps at the counter, and what LaundryOS does at each one.
- Step 1
Take in the bag
Type the customer’s mobile number. Count by piece or weigh in kg, and the price follows your price list.
- Step 2
Print the tag and the receipt
A small Bluetooth printer makes a QR sticker for the customer’s wash bag. The customer gets a receipt in their language.
- Step 3
Wash, press and scan
Scan the tag when the clothes are ready. The order moves to ready and the customer gets a text message.
- Step 4
Hand it back
No slip needed. The phone number finds the order and the tag confirms the bag. Take the balance and you are done.

What is LaundryOS?
LaundryOS is laundry POS and management software for laundries and dry cleaners in Sri Lanka, made by Starloge. It runs on a tablet and covers orders, QR tags, customer SMS, payments, inventory, expenses, reports, staff and branches.

Is LaundryOS for dry cleaners too?
Yes. LaundryOS prices by weight band or per item, so it fits wash-and-fold laundries and dry cleaners that charge per garment.
I run the laundry as a second business. Can I check it when I am not there?
Yes. LaundryOS keeps your data in the cloud, so the owner can sign in on a tablet from home or the office and see today’s orders, payments and late work for every branch, while staff run the counter.
Do I need a computer?
No. LaundryOS runs on a tablet at the counter. No desktop or laptop is needed.
Which printers do I need?
LaundryOS uses a Bluetooth bill printer for receipts and a separate Bluetooth QR-sticker printer for bag tags. A card device is optional; some tablets can read cards on their own.
What if a customer loses the receipt?
With LaundryOS nothing is lost. Search the customer’s mobile number to find every order they have, and scan the QR tag on the bag to confirm it is theirs.
Which languages does it speak?
LaundryOS speaks Sinhala, Tamil and English. Each person picks a language for the app, and customers get their texts and receipts in the language the shop sets.
Can I run more than one branch?
Yes. In LaundryOS the owner sees all branches or one at a time. A branch manager sees only their branches, and staff work at their counter.
How do customers hear from us?
LaundryOS texts customers when an order is placed, ready, cancelled or refunded, plus pickup reminders for bags that are not collected. Every message is logged and failed ones can be sent again.
Does it take card payments?
LaundryOS records cash, card and bank transfer payments, including advances. Card payments go through your card device or the tablet’s reader; LaundryOS stores the result and the reference.
Does it work without internet?
LaundryOS needs an internet connection. Your data is kept in the cloud on AWS, so the owner can see every branch from anywhere and nothing is lost if a tablet breaks.
What does LaundryOS not do?
LaundryOS has no customer self-service portal, no offline mode, no email notifications and no payroll. It records card payments but does not process them.
